2026 Property Expansion Project
During his recent visit to Northminster, Jude Nyanzi from Daystar Junior School in Kampala, Uganda gave us an update on how things are going with the school. This year, they have 1,244(!) students enrolled. The new classroom building we helped raise funds for has made a huge difference in the quality of education they are able to provide, but even with that they are outgrowing the space they have. To address that, they are hoping to purchase a plot of land on the same block as, but not adjacent to, their current property. This lot already has 3 buildings with 12 units on it (it was previously used as apartments, so each unit contains a room and a bathroom) which will be easily converted into classroom space. With this acquisition, Daystar will be able to separate the primary and Nursery/Kindergarten schools, which will help them meet national education guidelines.

As with the previous building campaign, an anonymous donor has offered to match any donations made to Northminster that is designated for Daystar Junior School through July 4, 2026. We are hoping to raise $80,000 through this campaign. Donations can be made by clicking the blue “Donate Now” button. Be sure to put “Daystar” in the note/memo field.
