Northminster is a wonderful church where the Gospel is proclaimed. Northminster is a small but strong congregation knit together by prayer, the Word, and mutual love for one another and for the community. The people of Northminster are welcoming and loving – truly a family.  We are a church that is seeking to experience and share God’s love to transform our homes, community and the world.  We believe this happens best through relationship – a relationship with Jesus Christ, and relationships with one another.

 

We are a short 15 minute drive from any of the schools in Lynchburg, and 10 minutes from Sweet Briar.  The church is easily found in Madison Heights, just north of the intersection of Rts 29 and 130.

 

 

 

Worship is at 11 am on Sundays, with Sunday School at 9:30. The worship service is simple and beautiful, centered on the teaching of scripture and doctrine and always seeking leading from the Spirit confirmed by the Word and the historic church.

Our College Bible Study meets Sunday evenings at the home of our pastor, Rev. David Garrison and his wife, Karey.  We enjoy a home cooked meal together, and then spend time studying God’s Word.  Our emphasis is on exploring how faith and life intersect, and working through the challenges and struggles that come when we try to live faithfully day in and day out.
